About the Cooperative

The San Francisco Patients' Cooperative is a patient owned, patient operated service of the San Francisco Patients' Association. This association consists of medical cannabis patients of the San Francisco Bay Area, united by a strong desire to help ease suffering and bring an end to isolation. This work is done through the patient cooperative project. The Cooperative offers work groups, activities, programs and volunteer opportunities as pathways to wellness and self-improvement. We call this "holistic empowerment." The majority of our patients are no to low income. Many reside in single room occupancy hotels and dwellings in the rough side of town. Some are homeless. All are in need of what we have to offer. Simple things like a sandwich and juice, activities, a quiet place in the garden after the doctor visit or chemo-therapy, a few hours respite from the daily hardships of homelessness, a hand to hold or shoulder to cry on ….a hug.
We see folks from every walk of life from ages 18 to 80+ who are dealing with all kinds of maladies: HIV/AI.D.S., Cancer, M.S., Arthritis, Glaucoma, Asthma, Migraine, Seizures, Ulcers, Depression and Anxiety, Sleep Disorders, Eating Disorders, Severe Pain, Liver Disease and Pancreatitis, Brain Tumors, Spinal and Neck Injury and Wasting Syndrome.

It's All About Patients We believe that healing is a community effort, and that sharing and caring should be a way of life. Being patient's ourselves, we have a unique understanding of what a person feels when they don't feel well. We can offer a hug, a shoulder, a laugh...
Compassion, Hospitality, and Servce means its all about Love.
